RivahFest is Back!

After nearly a decade away, RivahFest is returning to downtown Tappahannock—reviving a beloved community tradition and celebrating everything that makes our river town special.

Once welcoming thousands of visitors from across the region, RivahFest transforms Prince Street and its surroundings into a full day of energy, entertainment, and community pride. Guests can enjoy live music across multiple stages, including local favorites and high-energy headliners, plus RivahFest Idol featuring talented youth from across the region.

Stroll through the Merchant Market filled with handmade goods, unique finds, and local artisans, or explore a wide variety of food vendors serving everything from fresh seafood and BBQ to global flavors and sweet treats. Grab a drink in the Beer & Wine Garden, enjoy tastings from regional wineries and breweries, and take a break while soaking in the start of summer.

There’s something for everyone—kids can enjoy the Kid Zone with activities like face painting, rides, and interactive experiences, while festivalgoers of all ages can check out live demonstrations, maritime heritage exhibits, and hands-on activities celebrating our region’s history and culture. 

Built by volunteers and powered by community spirit, RivahFest has always been about connection—neighbors, visitors, businesses, and generations coming together. It’s more than a festival—it’s a homecoming.

As we prepare for this long-awaited comeback, we’re honoring the past while building something for the future.
